aigua i sol (2025)
by Agnes Esonti Luque and n:u (melissandre varin)
Duration: 60min
Agnes Essonti Luque and n:u (melissandre varin)’s performance, “aigua i sol,” is a collaborative and ritualistic piece, reimagining the Holy Trinity through a Black, queer lens. The work blends elemental materials such as sea water, rosemary, and fish, all culturally resonant ingredients, into transformative offerings. These objects and gestures evoke both personal and communal histories, inviting participants into an experience rooted in care, intuitive movement, and the possibility to re-balance energies we find in 'nature'.
Combining elements and pieces from their respective dreamscapes, the artists weave alternative embodied queer re-interpretation of the Holy Trinity. Inviting sea water, fish, rosemary and fire entities into a healing performance-ritual to process - collectively - what cannot be named with words.
